These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a legally binding agreement between you ("User", "you", "your") and Adanos Software GmbH ("Adanos", "we", "us", "our") for access to and use of the market sentiment APIs and related services currently available at api.adanos.org (the "Service").
By registering for an API key, purchasing a plan or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you use the Service for an organization, you represent that you are authorized to bind that organization. Mandatory rights that cannot lawfully be waived remain unaffected.
The Service provides programmatic access to market-sentiment and activity analysis derived from sources that may include Reddit, X, financial news and Polymarket, as well as crypto and equity reference data. Depending on the endpoint and plan, responses may contain Aggregated Data, representative Source Content, Raw Mention Data, automated explanations or analysis of Customer Input.
Available endpoints, fields, source coverage, update frequency and plan access are described in the current API documentation and Pricing page. Data coverage can change because sources, identifiers, filters and upstream availability change over time.
You must be at least 16 years old and have the legal capacity required to enter into these Terms. A paid plan may be purchased only by a person aged 18 or older or by a person otherwise validly represented or authorized under applicable law.
You must provide accurate information and keep it current. Our Privacy Policy explains how personal data is processed; acknowledging that notice is distinct from consenting to these contractual Terms.
Your API key is confidential. You are responsible for reasonable safeguards, for use under your key and for notifying us promptly of suspected compromise. You must not sell, publicly disclose or transfer a key to an unrelated third party. We may rotate, suspend or revoke a compromised or misused key.
Free and Hobby plans are limited to non-commercial use. This includes personal research, academic or educational work, private tools and a private automated trading or research bot used solely with your own capital.
Permitted private-bot activity includes development, PAPER trading, SHADOW operation, pre-live testing, historical replay, backtesting, unattended polling within published limits and private live trading. Trading profits, portfolio growth, continuous operation or unattended execution do not, by themselves, make that use commercial.
A Professional plan is required where API Data or the Service is used in a product or service offered to others, to sell signals or reports, to manage or advise on third-party money, for customer-facing functionality, for redistribution, or within a business in connection with revenue-generating operations.
Professional permits commercial use subject to these Terms and provides the features and limits shown on the Pricing page, including access to designated Professional-only endpoints. An upgrade does not, by itself, grant broader rights in third-party Source Content, a perpetual data licence, an indemnity waiver or a source-rights warranty unless expressly stated in a separate written agreement.
Subject to your plan, payment of applicable fees and compliance with these Terms, Adanos grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access, copy, store and use API Data for the permitted purpose of your plan during the agreement.
You may cache and durably store lawfully obtained API Data to the extent reasonably necessary for your permitted internal use, including analysis, replay, backtesting, PAPER or SHADOW validation, audit, provenance and reproduction of past decisions. A plan's historical query window is an access limit and is not, by itself, a client-side deletion deadline.
You should minimize storage of Source Content and Raw Mention Data and retain only the fields and duration reasonably necessary for the permitted purpose. Storage does not expand your right to publish, redistribute or commercially exploit third-party material.
You retain ownership of your independently created software, models, strategies, trading decisions and qualifying Derived Output. Adanos does not acquire ownership of them merely because they were informed by API Data.
Renaming, reformatting, normalizing, hashing or making a mechanically reversible transformation of API Data does not by itself create unrestricted Derived Output. Rights in Adanos technology, API Data and Source Content remain unaffected.
Unless we expressly agree otherwise in writing, you must not sell, sublicense, publish or redistribute API Data as a data feed; expose Source Content or Raw Mention Data to unrelated third parties; or use stored data to create a competing or materially substitutable service. Professional commercial use permits integration into your application, not resale of the underlying feed.
If your plan permits an endpoint that analyzes Customer Input, you grant Adanos a limited licence to process that Customer Input solely to provide, secure and operate the requested Service and as otherwise described in the Privacy Policy.
You are responsible for having the rights and lawful basis needed to submit Customer Input. Do not submit unlawful content, credentials, payment-card data, special-category personal data or confidential third-party information unless the intended endpoint and a separate written agreement expressly support that processing.
Current standard limits are:
Endpoint-specific limits, pagination limits, raw-data retention windows and validation rules may also apply. You must implement reasonable retry, timeout and backoff handling and must not circumvent throttling, quotas or plan gates. We may adjust limits prospectively for operational or security reasons; material reductions to a paid plan will be communicated where reasonably practicable.
You must not:
Prices, billing interval, included features and taxes are shown before checkout. Unless the checkout states otherwise, a paid subscription renews automatically for the selected billing interval until cancelled.
You may cancel renewal through the cancellation method made available for the subscription or by contacting contact@adanos.org. Unless applicable law or the checkout terms provide otherwise, cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid billing period. At that time paid entitlements end and the API account may continue on the Free plan unless you request deletion.
Refunds, prorations, upgrades and downgrades follow the terms displayed at checkout or in the applicable plan-change flow. Statutory withdrawal, cancellation, refund and other mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.
Unless a separate written service-level agreement expressly applies, the Service is provided without a guaranteed uptime or response time. Maintenance, source outages, security events, upstream changes and circumstances outside our reasonable control may affect availability or data coverage.
We may improve, replace, deprecate or discontinue endpoints, fields, methods or sources. Where reasonably practicable, we will announce material breaking changes in advance through documentation, changelog, status page or email. Emergency security, legal or upstream-source changes may take effect without advance notice.
Source Content originates from third parties and remains subject to applicable law and the rights of the relevant platforms, publishers, market operators, authors and other rights holders. These Terms do not transfer ownership of Source Content or grant rights broader than Adanos is entitled to grant.
You are responsible for assessing whether your intended display, publication or onward use of Source Content is lawful. Purely statistical Aggregated Data and qualifying Derived Output may present a different rights profile, but aggregation or transformation does not automatically extinguish third-party rights.
We may remove, redact or change Source Content and associated data in response to deletion, takedown, correction, licensing, source-policy or legal requirements. Questions or takedown requests may be sent to contact@adanos.org.
The Service provides information and automated analysis, not financial, investment, legal or tax advice. Adanos does not recommend that you buy, sell or hold any asset. You remain solely responsible for research, risk controls and decisions made with the Service.
Automated sentiment, entity detection, source attribution and aggregation may be incomplete, delayed, revised or wrong. Historical values can change when late source items arrive, filters or mappings are corrected, or models and aggregation methods are improved. Unless expressly stated, the Service is not an immutable point-in-time archive.
To the extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without a guarantee of accuracy, completeness, uninterrupted availability, merchantability or fitness for a particular trading strategy.
Adanos and its licensors retain all rights in the Service, including its software, documentation, schemas, selection and arrangement, algorithms, analytical methods and branding. Except for the limited rights expressly granted in these Terms, no licence or ownership right is transferred.
Feedback may be used by Adanos without restriction, provided that we do not publicly identify you or disclose your confidential information without permission.
Adanos is liable without limitation for damage caused by intent or gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, under an expressly assumed guarantee, and where liability is mandatory under applicable law, including the German Product Liability Act where applicable.
For slight negligence affecting an essential contractual obligation, liability is limited to the foreseeable damage typical for this agreement. An essential obligation is one whose performance is necessary for proper performance of the agreement and on whose performance the User may regularly rely. In all other cases, liability for slight negligence is excluded to the extent permitted by law.
Subject to the preceding paragraphs, Adanos is not responsible for trading losses, missed opportunities or financial outcomes that result from your investment decisions, strategy, order execution, third-party services or reliance on incomplete or delayed market sentiment data.
Nothing in these Terms limits mandatory consumer remedies or shifts liability that applicable law does not permit us to exclude.
This Section applies to Business Users only. A Business User shall indemnify Adanos against a third-party claim to the extent the claim is caused by the Business User's culpable breach of these Terms, unlawful Customer Input, unauthorized redistribution of API Data, or violation of third-party rights through the Business User's own content or use.
The indemnity does not apply merely because a claim relates to ordinary compliant use of the Service, or to the extent the claim is caused by Adanos' own breach, misconduct or acquisition and provision of data independently of the Business User's conduct.
Adanos will notify the Business User without undue delay, permit reasonable participation in the defence and will not agree to a settlement imposing non-monetary obligations on the Business User without prior consent, which shall not be unreasonably withheld.
You may stop using the Service at any time. Cancelling a paid subscription stops renewal as described in Section 10; it does not automatically delete the API account. To request account and API-key deletion, contact contact@adanos.org.
We may suspend or terminate access where you materially breach these Terms, payment is overdue, use presents a security or legal risk, we are required to act by law or a source provider, or we discontinue the Service. Where the situation permits, we will give reasonable notice and an opportunity to cure before termination.
On termination, your right to make new requests and use the Service for new production activity ends. You may continue to retain your independent software, models, strategies, trading decisions, audit records and qualifying Derived Output.
You may retain lawfully obtained Aggregated Data already incorporated into internal historical records for audit, compliance, reproduction of past decisions and backtesting. You must not use retained data after termination to continue an external commercial service, redistribute a feed or create a substitute for the Service.
Unless applicable law requires longer retention or Adanos agrees otherwise in writing, you must delete retained Raw Mention Data and Source Content within thirty (30) days after termination. Data retained under a legal obligation must be isolated from operational use and deleted when the obligation ends.
Sections that by their nature should survive do survive, including Sections 2, 6.3, 6.4 and 12 through 20.
We may update these Terms prospectively for legal, security, operational or product reasons. We will identify the revision date and, for material changes affecting paid Users, provide advance notice where reasonably practicable. A shorter period may apply where immediate action is required by law, security needs or an upstream-source restriction.
Material changes will not retroactively remove ownership of your independent work or qualifying Derived Output lawfully created before the change. Where applicable law requires express agreement, continued use alone will not replace that agreement. You may stop using the Service or cancel renewal before a material change takes effect.
These Terms are governed by German law. For Consumers, this choice does not deprive you of mandatory protections of the country in which you habitually reside.
If you are a merchant, a legal entity under public law or a special fund under public law, the courts of Berlin, Germany have exclusive jurisdiction. Consumers may bring and defend claims in the courts provided by mandatory law.
We encourage you to contact contact@adanos.org so that a dispute can be addressed informally, but doing so is not a mandatory precondition to legal proceedings. Information about consumer dispute resolution appears on our Contact & Imprint page.
If a provision is invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain effective. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. A Business User may not assign this agreement without prior written consent; mandatory rights of Consumers remain unaffected.
A separately signed order form, data-processing agreement or service-level agreement prevails over these Terms for its specific subject matter. These Terms prevail over general marketing copy. The Privacy Policy is a transparency notice about personal-data processing and does not expand the contractual licence to API Data.
